Seatyrants are a fully aquatic subtype of the Aurixan neogenetic hybrids. The hue of the Shrymp species has proven to be more dominant than the Aurixan hues, leading to an all-purple organism. They are slightly smaller than your typical subtype but keep the general aggression of their brethren. The playfulness of the Shrymp has manifested itself quite maliciously, causing them to often enjoy playing with opponents a while before finally killing them. Their mutations are as follows:

  • The eyestalks have moved to the side of the head, where the stalks themselves have shrunk significantly thanks to genes contributed by the Flash Shrymp, preventing drag during swimming.
  • Another contributed factor of the Flash Shrymp is armored plating developed from the exoskeleton of their kind. When combined with Aurixan DNA, this has led to simple yet durable heavy armor plates down the Seatyrant's back. The armor of the head works in conjunction with the Death Petal, allowing the mouth to pull in (slightly) into the armor itself.
  • The primary arms have changed substantially, being transformed into the Flash Shrymp's primary weapon - its claws. These are extremely powerful melee weapons, capable of rupturing bubbles underwater to cause miniature sonic booms which can blind, disorient or even paralyze an opponent temporarily. An unforeseen side effect of this mutation however is that they can no longer properly manipulate objects, as they have lost their split tentacles.
  • The Aurixan tail is another feature that has disappeared and been replaced with Shrymp adaptation. This greatly aids the Seatyrants in their aquatic environment, but costs them a major weapon. Their new arms make up for this, however.
  • As they are no longer naturally amphibious creatures and with the loss of the primary arms and tail, the balance has shifted slightly in their bodies, with the new primary arms being heavier than the tail on the other end. Because of this, they often have to balance themselves upon them while out on land.
  • The gill flap is now well-protected by the head's armor plating, which serves them well as they are now more advanced, to the extent where they need to be wet at all times to avoid accidental harm to them.
  • They can still breathe oxygen as they still possess their lungs and nostrils, but their gills must remain wet, thereby lowering the length of time they can move above the water.
  • If given the opportunity to evolve naturally, it has been speculated that they would eventually lose their legs, as they serve only minor use to them outside of war tactics.
